Purdue goes for the Gold (and Black) in Indianapolis

USA Swimming LIVE event celebrates Olympic trials, opening of Purdue University in Indianapolis

Purdue is bringing Boilermaker pride to Indy as the presenting sponsor of USA Swimming LIVE, a free, nine-day event taking place on Georgia Street, just outside of Lucas Oil Stadium. This partnership with Indiana Sports Corp kicks off with a block party June 14 and continues throughout the U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials.

The event anticipates the July 1 opening of Purdue in Indianapolis, a STEM-focused extension of our flagship campus.

Purdue’s USA Swimming LIVE activation will feature the creative efforts of students in Indianapolis, who designed a VR experience allowing event visitors to swim for the gold in a virtual Olympic pool.

Dive in to discover how Boilermaker alumni transformed the home of the Indianapolis Colts into an Olympic swimming venue, meet Purdue students who are competing for their spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics, and see event details for Indy’s biggest block party this summer.
